The La Flor Dominicana Story
Litto and Ines Gomez founded La Flor Dominicana in 1994. Their family company built its reputation in the Dominican Republic by combining bold blends with a willingness to rethink cigar shapes and construction. The Chisel vitola became a signature example of that inventive spirit, while lines such as Double Ligero established the house's full-flavored identity.
The Gomez family pursued vertical integration by establishing its own tobacco farm in La Canela. Tobacco from that land now supplies the rich Dominican character found throughout the portfolio, including limited crops the family sets aside for long aging and small-batch releases. Three decades after its founding, La Flor Dominicana still joins farm-grown Dominican tobacco, family leadership, and experimentation in blends designed to be unmistakably LFD.
